医院制度之一。指负责医师与有关医、护人员定时到病房巡视住院病人。其任务为了解、分析和讨论病情，决定治疗计划和检查计划执行情况等。《新体育》1982年第1期：“他的医术誉满国内外，至今八十四岁高龄，仍然思路清晰，精神矍铄，坚持每周四次查房，两次门诊。”
